As the Eddie Howe saga continues to grab the headlines and the phone ins, one journalist has given his take on why he thinks it is taking so long for Celtic to announce their No1 candidate.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, journalist Mark Guidi, has said that he believes Howe is waiting to see what happens in the summer as top English jobs may become available to step into, “Eddie Howe, I get the feeling he is waiting to see what’s going to happen down the road.  I think there’s a merry go round about to happen down in England and Eddie Howe will be in the mix. There could be four or five big changers down there.

Do you think Eddie Howe will become the Celtic manager?

YES

NO

“I could see Brendan Rodgers ending up in one of them (Arsenal, Tottenham) and Eddie Howe ending up at Leicester.  Southampton might be up for grabs, Crystal Palace ninety nine percent up for grabs.

“The England job could be available at the end of June start of July if they don’t have a good Euro’s. So there’s all sorts getting into the mix.”

There is no doubt that there will be managerial changes in England in the summer but could Howe command one of the top four clubs or even the England managers position (I will be writing about this later!) after being out of the game for almost a year?

Howe certainly would be on the list of clubs like Crystal Palace, Southampton and possibly even Leicester City but the general feeling I get is that an announcement will be made after Dom McKay starts as the Celtic C.E.O. on Monday and hopefully that will start the wheels turning to prepare for next season.
