Another Celtic player has voiced his opinion on the Eddie Howe story and this time it’s the turn of Joe Ledley.

Ledley was part of Neil Lennon’s double winning squad in season 2012/13 and with 100 appearances and 20 goals to his name, was a cult figure amongst the fans during his time at Celtic Park.

Speaking on the Celtic Huddle Podcast, Ledley warned that Eddie Howe could be in the sights for some English clubs and it sounds like if Celtic are sleeping on this they could lose their number one target, “There are a few clubs down south I know are interested, Palace, Southampton I have heard as well.

“If you become manager of Celtic and do well you will be loved forever. If you win titles and do well in the Champions League you will go down in history.

Do you think Eddie Howe will become the Celtic manager?

YES

NO

“As a player that’s what you want to do, as a manager, hopefully Eddie will make the right decision and join Celtic. That’s down to him to make the decision.”

The most frustrating part of this manager merry go round is that the club could put an end to all the speculation by either confirming or denying that Howe is their man.

The fact that neither party has tells you a story in itself.  The interest from both parties is real. The only thing Celtic fans need to do is show patience. Dom McKay officially starts his role at the club this coming Monday and I would fully expect an announcement to be made either the same day or the coming days after his appointment.
