According to the Scottish Sun, Sunderland want to sign Lewis Morgan from us in the summer transfer window on loan.

Sunderland, of course, were relegated from the Championship in England last season and are looking to rebuild with new owners and former St. Mirren manager Jack Ross in charge.

That, then, is where this link stems from with Morgan enjoying fine form under Ross as they got promoted from the Championship in our country last year.

Indeed, he was voted the Championship Player of the Year for St. Mirren and many of us probably would like to see what he can do for us close up.

Certainly, he’s said that he’s ready to try and make an impression for us but, at the same time, you could see this move happening.

The Verdict

I’d like to keep Morgan but I can see it happening and that he moves to Sunderland.

He’s a bright player but we’ve got a lot in his position and so if Brendan thinks it is best if he moves to Wearside then I don’t see many disagreeing with it.

  • Tired of signing players then letting them out on loan if you sign up for Celtic then you should be good enough to be first team end of rant

  • This would be a poor decision to put him out on loan as he’s an excellent player who’ll without a doubt be pushing scott Sinclair for his place immediately.

  • Never mind sanctioning loan deals for players we have just signed and who have yet to kick a ball for us,don’t you think Brendan should be concentrating his thoughts on Edouard deal done and maybe a European experience defender to settle Ajer on European nights?

  • Why sign the guy if he is not going to get a chance. He is 21 years old he is not a youth. Give him a chance as well as Christie and stop this nonsense of buying players and not playing them while loaning young players from other clubs . Good grief. n

  • I think we need him here tbh. Sinclair was very mediocre last season , Roberts is gone so unless w have something up our sleeves he will be staying put

  • I agree with the guys…. why bring a guy into the club …. then loan him out ffs. when he was thot to be good enough for Brendan, that should be enough .

  • Voted player of the year by his team, 21 yrs old and bags of talent. Scott Sinclair done nothing to impress on previous year. Play him and we will get the best out if him which can only improve the champions. HH

  • I’d rather see him playing for us that’s why we signed him, but if he should go out on loan i’d rather it be to hibs were Lenny would take care of him and Lewis would still be in the Scottish game, but again I’d rather see him at Celtic
