As the media ramp up Celtic’s transfer rumours, this week has been a hotbed of speculation.
Especially when it comes to Jota and Cameron Carter Vickers.
Not since last summer’s Eddie Howe debacle has one man took so many headlines in Cameron Carter-Vickers.
By all accounts, it seems he will sign at the end of the week, and Gordon Dalziel was gushing in his praise of the American defender.
Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Dalziel said, “I think that’s a great bit of business.
“If you look at Celtic’s defensive record this season, he’s played a massive part in that.
“He’s really been terrific for Celtic. I said that he should have been in there, nominee for player of the year.
“I think he’s been brilliant for them. I think he’s helped Starfelt. Obviously experience with Joe Hart behind him as well. He’s been a leader.
“This is a guy that, probably, this is the most he’s played in a season for a club. I think it’s about 45 games for Celtic so he is enjoying himself at Celtic.”
I don’t think you will find one fan that disagrees with that assertion to be honest.
CCV has been an absolute rock and if Celtic do manage to tie him up, what a boost that will be for next season.
