I think the Scottish Cup tie against Alloa will be absolutely pivotal in the destination of the league this season.
With Celtic losing another three top team stars due to the brutal tactics of the League One side, Alloa have come under fierce criticism for their over exuberance in the tackle on Saturday night.
Callum McGregor and Yosuke Ideguchi face a stretch on the treatment table and it was to Celtic’s good fortune that no more players followed them.
And Hugh Keevins was not holding back when he criticised The Wasps and referee performance on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
Keevins said of the Alloa tactics, “I thought it was primitive football. And I’ll say that again. I thought it was primitive football based on physical intimidation.
“We’re trying to have a football competition here, whether it’s cup football or league football.
“That’s not modern day football.
“And that’s why I thought that Don Robertson let down the Celtic players.
“Didn’t offer protection. Didn’t offer the ultimate deterrent of a red card when Guchi suffered what was, we don’t know yet how, serious an injury.
“But you know, you can see why Alloa are eighth in their league if that’s how they approach football.”
There has been criticism all round of the League One club and of the referee Don Robertson following the Saturday night horror show as the spotlight falls once again on refereeing standards in the Scottish game.

Well fine Hugh referee deserves the sack for neglate of duty or blatant biased against celtic in all his games he has referee our games
The influence of the thug and tax dodger Ferguson together with Malcolm was clearly seen and we know where they learned their rough and cheating tactics. Together with their disgusting bigotry they have infected Alloa Football Club, who are just as guilty, as they employ them and give credence to their so-called values.
The referee Robertson is either a coward or is part of the cabal that is trying to influence events unfairly.
Let me be clear here, what we want is fair refereeing all round – not an unfair advantage like others do. Also what we want is for other clubs to play against us they way they would play against any other club. No preferential treatment, just fair play. Is this too much to ask in this bigot-infested and hypocritical wee country?
Yes we suffer a lot of injuries when Don Robertson policing our games he just shows he doesn’t want celtic to win and will let tackles go slows games up he just should not referee any celtic game the opposition must know when he’s in charge when oppents is celtic they know they will get away with poor tackles sfa has to do something different that’s 3or4 games sfa has to dish out punishment for Robertson mistakes I doesn’t help celtic far from it
