“I want to be gaffer” – Hoops legend on future

|

Celtic captain, Scott Brown, has hinted at his determination to one day have a go in the dugout.

The midfielder turns 36 this year and his future has been in question and as his contract expires at the end of the season, it is widely expected that he will take up a coaching role at Celtic as his playing career winds down.

Brown admits seeing the flak that current boss, Neil Lennon, has been taking is not nice, but it doesn’t faze him,

“I like that part of things, I enjoy it. Management is never going to be easy – there are always going to be people out there who think they know better because they’ve been playing Football Manager throughout their career and they know the best line-up.

“Ask them to give a team talk to the lads, though, and they would struggle.

“A lot of people have their say now – it’s part and parcel of living in 2021.

“It’s not for everyone to worry about my situation – myself, the manager and Peter Lawwell will sit down and sort that out together.

“Until that happens, we’ll just concentrate on getting back to winning ways.”

Celtic face Livingston and hope to end the season strongly starting at 8.15pm tonight in the belief that they can at least close the gap at the top of the table to put some pressure on their rivals.
