Josip Juranovic has been the subject of many headlines over the last few weeks.

As rumours circulated that the club are ready or ‘braced‘ for offers for the right back after the World Cup, it does seem that Juranovic’s time at the club is coming to end.

And that will be a blow to the club. Juranovic has been a mainstay in the Celtic team since his arrival last season and has kept Anthony Ralston on the sidelines.

The Croatian was interviewed on The View and gave a very interesting insight to not only what Modric said to him after the Champions League defeat but not only that, he offered an opinion on how playing against SPFL teams can be more ‘relaxed’.

Speaking on the Celtic FC YouTube channel, Juranovic said, “After the game immediately he [Modric] was saying that with these fans, you can do everything.

“But you need to get experience also in this level because the chances that we had we didn’t score.

“They had maybe half of the chances and they scored because of that experience in the biggest game in the world.”

“In the Championship against, I will not name the clubs and everything, but you can just be relaxed.

“Because you believe in your friends but in the Champions League, you still believe in your friends, but you need to step up and show yourself on the big night.”

Relaxed? In the SPFL?

That goes against everything that Ange Postecoglou has been teaching and coaching his players over the last 18 months.

I’m pretty sure that not only will Ange not appreciate that sentiment, but neither will the Celtic fans who demand 100% from the team in every fixture.

We never stop. Whether it’s in the SPFL or Champions League.

This was a poor choice of words by Juranovic.

Who were Celtic’s most expensive transfer additions in these seasons?

Braced ha ha,celtic won’t bat an eye lid,if he is looking for a move celtic will take the fee and reinvest in another just as good player.stop with this tabloid nonsense.

I like the guy but Ralston has been better for months. If they can get 20-25 million for him, and that will be possible if he has a good WC they buy a couple of quality players. Ralston is more than capable for the treble.

Josip wasn’t too clever in the CL campaign and should maybe keep his thoughts to himself. If we get an acceptable bid for him I’d bite their hand off and get in a defender with a bit of height .
