“I won’t walk away. The club need to make the decision” – Lennon challenges the board

|

Neil Lennon has insisted that he will not walk away from the club he loves as another disappointing result effectively ended Celtic chances of clawing back the points deficit at the top of the table.

Four consecutive draws in a row means The Hoops have dropped eight points in a run that has not been seen the year 2000.

But Lennon is defiant and insists he can turn around the poor form, “I won’t walk away, absolutely. A month ago we won the Treble.

“I haven’t changed, philosophy hasn’t changed, but for some reason too many [players] haven’t reached their levels.

“I’m very conscientious about the work. If the club needs to make a decision they make a decision.

“You’re asking the wrong guy and I’m fed up answering it. Everyone seems interested in my job. I’ll be here until told otherwise.”

Lennon is in no mood to walk away and it is now up to the board to make the decision for him because as things stand right now, his stubbornness is only going to cause more damage.

Nothing has improved in three months. The same mistakes are still being made, the same performances are still being meted out by the players and the same tired excuses are still being churned out by the manager. Change is needed, and needed fast!
