With the Scottish media more or less claiming that at least two of Celtic’s three Japanese targets are all but done deals, Japan based reporter Dan Orlowitz has urged a note of caution the to the Hoops fans on whether or not those deals are, in fact, concluded.

Dan gave some information on the three transfer’s last week which gave the Celtic fans hope that the deals may be finalised quicker than first thought as the transfer fees involved were relatively reasonable considering the quality that is being brought in:

A total of just over $5m (until Ideguchi’s fee is released) is not a lot of money for three players and with the Hoops fans, and Ange Postecoglou, desperate for squad additions after the winter break, it did look like the three deals would be completed quickly.

But Dan has urged a note of caution to the fans. When asked about the deals on twitter, the journalist said, “I’d still be a little stunned if all three signed if only because that’s a *lot* of players to bring in from one country in such a short time.

“But clearly Celtic feel like they can thread that needle and that all can contribute.”

And when quizzed further on his thoughts about the moves, Dan replied he went on to clarify that it’s not how quickly the deals can get done, but what it would mean for dressing room balance:

For me, looking at the influence Kyogo has already had, more Japanese representation in Celtic can only be a good thing.

Let’s hope the deals can be wrapped up quickly as these three definitely look like they have the quality Celtic need for the title run in.
