Celtic had to battle hard to win the Scottish League Cup on Sunday, but the 1-0 victory means they have now lifted the last seven trophies available in Scottish football.

Incredibly, the Hoops have yet to lose a single cup match since Brendan Rodgers arrived at the club in 2016. We now look well on our way to a ‘treble treble’.

Aberdeen provided a stern test, with chances few and far between, but couldn’t break down a determined and passionate Celtic defence to cancel out Ryan Christie’s opener.

At the heart of that defensive display was Filip Benkovic, who showed leadership and composure in the final third of the game after Dedryck Boyata was substituted off.

The on-loan prospect looks at home in the Hoops defensive line and was getting stuck in to the post-match celebrations too.

Supporters have fallen in love with the Leicester City man and took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his Sunday display…
