First off, I’ll be honest.

When this transfer happened, I was in two minds whether it would for Celtic or the player.

Lack of first team football for me was an issue that outweighed his overall experience and I am glad to say the Celtic ‘keeper, Joe Hart, has proved me wrong.

But how did the former England international’s move come about?

Here (The Sun) he describes how he struggled with football as a whole but unveiled the conversation between him and the manager that convinced him to sign for the Hoops, “I’ll be honest, and I said it when I came here, at that point football wasn’t doing everything that it had done for me in my life.

“I don’t know where my thoughts were with it, because I am very committed to what I do.

“I like to be fully on board with my employers and the people that I work for.

“So I told Ange when I spoke to him that I didn’t quite know how to feel about football at that moment. He understood and he was very simple in what he said. He told me, ‘If you come here you will be treated with a lot of respect and will get a lot of responsibility’.

“Ange also said, ‘Regardless of anything, I believe in you as a goalkeeper’.

“No matter who you are, you need to hear that. You need to know someone has confidence with you.

“I felt that with him and he has kind of left me to it, to be the person and player I am.

“I have been around a long time, I have seen a lot. I have been allowed to bring that to the team, as well as what I can do on the field.”

Ange is class. And you can see it from the performances and how hard the team works for him.

We have a gem of a boss here and I can’t wait till he really shines.
