“I’m not so sure” – Roger Hannah plays down Celtic’s interest in attacker

It seems like this deal could be dead in the water.

Normally after all the transfer speculation there is fire after the smoke, but Celtic’s speculated interest in Martin Boyle seems to be dead in the water after a second journalist poured cold water on the story.

Speaking Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, journalist Roger Hannah, gave an update on his opinion when asked if he though the Martin Boyle deal could go through, “I’m not so sure that’s going to be the one, three million pounds for a 28 year old?

“I’m not so sure that’s going to be the type of deal that will be done.

“I think the player might have other options. He’s done particularly well overseas.

“And it will be interesting to see moves in and out the this month as well because there’s a new management team in there.

“They’re already bringing their own players in and you talk about bloated squads I think they will need to get out of a few as well.

“And they might be able to make money off those few.”

Hugh Keevins also doesn’t believe the deal can go ahead as it doesn’t fit Celtic’s business model and with a second journalist confirming it, I think it is safe to say this deal, if there ever was one, could be dead.
