Since arriving from Fulham on a free transfer, Moussa Dembele has established himself as one of the best – if not the best – strikers in the Scottish Premiership. The 21-year-old has scored a tremendous total of 48 goals in 88 appearances for the Bhoys, and according to recent reports, Marseille’s interest in the forward has cooled.
As the Scotsman reports, Marseille have concluded their interest in Celtic’s Moussa Dembele, and they have since diverted their attention towards alternative attacking options. This will undoubtedly serve as excellent news to the Scottish champions, as Dembele has become one of Celtic’s most influential players.
Despite being 21-years-old, the Frenchman has amassed a mightily impressive total of goals. In 152 career appearances, the former Fulham attacker has scored a stupendous total of 67 goals. The strike is regarded for his wealth of attacking qualities.
The Frenchman has developed a useful propensity of registering key passes; he is also an exceptional dribbler of the ball, who displays excellent technical skills. Moreover, he’s clinically proficient in the final third of the pitch, and his finishing is ruthless.
Additionally, he is a very skilful player who likes to attempt audacious moves such as astute flicks and intelligent lay-offs. He is also a menace when attacking set-pieces, and it’s difficult to find a more exciting forward in the Scottish Premiership.
Dembele is far from perfect, for example, he needs to improve his ability to retain possession, especially if Celtic are under pressure. But, in the context of his qualities, that’s only a minor concern. He flaunts tremendous abilities, and he has the potential to become an outstanding player. Accordingly, Celtic will be delighted that Marseille have cooled their interest in the striker.
