You can tell it’s international week can’t you.

With no club football news outlets are looking for something, anything, to help fill their column inches.

And no sooner had one Ange Postecoglou rumour ended with the Brighton links, than another one starts.

And it all began with this piece in The Scotsman yesterday.

The BBC have claimed that Ange Postecoglou is under ‘serious scrutiny’ by Leicester City and cites the article from The Scotsman as the source.

But that is not what the article has claimed.

In fact, it’s far from it.

What the original article says is, “Leicester City could be the next top-flight club looking for a new manager with former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers under “serious scrutiny” according to reports in England.”

And that links back to a piece in The Telegraph where the whole article is about how Rodgers is ‘under scrutiny’ from the Leicester board due to the team’s shocking form.

Nothing about Ange being linked.

The only tenuous mention of Postecoglou being mentioned about the job is the journalist from The Scotsman claiming Ange ‘could’ be linked but with no factual evidence, source or information to back it up.

Surely it’s a journalist’s job to fact-check their claims and not just create a tenuous link just for the sake of it?

So in answer to your question Dan, yes. Yes, it will.

It’s the dreaded international break. So take away the boredom and try our *BRAND NEW* quiz. Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
