Will they? Won’t they? I guess until the 1st of January we won’t really know if the three Japanese boys are going to be joining Ange Postecoglou as Celtic Park to push for the league title.
But Hugh Keevins has given the biggest hint yet that the deals are almost all but done when he was speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
When asked by a Celtic fan caller if there was any news on the transfer front, Keevins dropped this bombshell, “It is my understanding that the work permits have been done for three Japanese signings.
“So there was an immediate injection for Ange Postecoglou. Of course they are then obliged to hit the ground running.
“I think the addition of more people inside the grounds would just help lift everyone. Celtic included.
“The result in Paisley was a body blow for Celtic.
“They are six points behind, so when the new signings come in for Ange Postecoglou, he will certainly believe that they have the capacity to overcome the deficit.
“Well, get games played see if he’s right.”
Now, we all know Keevins’ penchant for getting predictions wrong. It’s as sure as night follows day.
But surely a man of his experience would not put himself out there on live radio with that kind of prediction and not have his facts checked?
Fingers crossed this is one prediction the experienced journalist gets right.
