Celtic have been urged to solve their striker crisis by signing Hibs striker and Scotland international, Kevin Nisbet.

Nisbet rise to stardom has been a sensational one.

Finding himself out of contract at Partick Thistle no les than three years ago, Nisbet signed for Raith Rovers in Scottish League 1 and after an outstanding debut season, scoring 29 goals in 3 appearances, he then moved onto Dunfermline in the Scottish Championship for £90,ooo.

After 25 appearances for The Pars, Nesbit bagged himself 18 goals.

That kind of form saw Hibs take a chance on him and after paying over £200,000 for the youngster, Nisbet finished top goalscorer for the club in his maiden season.

Nisbet earned his Scotland call up off the back of his form and he scored on his debut against the Netherlands in a pre season Euro 2020 friendly.

But speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, former Celtic midfielder Davie Provan, has said Celtic should have been looking at Nisbet to ease the pressure off Kyogo and reckons Celtic should still make their move for the 24 year old, “I said last summer on this programme I would go and get [Kevin] Nisbet. Now I know his form shaded, he looks back to his best.

“He looks a proper player again.

“And what would you had to pay? Maximum, maybe £3 million?

“I mean that’s a no brainer.

“At his age you’re gonna get your money back,”

Whether or not Nisbet would be good enough to lead the line for Celtic is a debate that has been had and it is not the first time he has been linked with a move to Paradise.
