I have mixed feelings about sharing this story. Mixed because the more I read Football Insider news, the more I question where they are getting their information from and how reliable their information is.
However, as this is a hot topic right now for the club, the speculation over Ryan Christie’s future has been brought to the fore as his form for the club has been excellent in the first few games of the season and after two amazing performances against Dundee and Jablonec, the Hoops fans are desperate for the Scotland international star to stay.
One pundit that thinks he will sign an extension is Gabby Agbonlahor (yes I know, what does he know?) , and he believes that if Celtic offer him a ‘big deal’, he will sign eventually, “They want him to stay and I think he will stay eventually.
“I think he’s just waiting for that big new deal. When he’s putting in performances like he did last weekend, I think it’s only a matter of time.
“It’s positive times for Celtic after recent results. Things might be starting to look a little bit on the up.
“With Rangers losing their last couple of games, it shows that if they get their act together they’ve got a good chance of making a much closer title race.“
If Christie does decide to stay, the Celtic fans would be absolutely delighted but with no hint of a new deal being offered yet, we all wait in hope rather than expectation.
