We don’t have long to wait now until Celtic are back in European action tomorrow night and a big game is certainly awaiting us.
Red Bull Leipzig did the job on us last time out but things should be different at Celtic Park tomorrow and I certainly think we have got a good chance of getting a big three points.
Away from the game, though, we’ve seen former Bhoys star Aiden McGeady speaking about how he’d loved to have ended his career with us – even though he thinks the chance has gone.
And, though, it’d be tempting to see him back, it would be wise to not make him an offer.
He was, of course, a fantastic player for us but his time for us, I feel, has passed.
We have better players than his ability now and he is not getting any younger, he seems to know that as well.
We need to spend money on younger, hungry players that can take us to the next level and, whilst McGeady still has good things to offer, it might just be best to leave things in the past.
A coaching role, though, might be worth looking at in three or four years’ time…
