Celtic have made a decent start to the January transfer window. Three players have come in, and whilst it remains to be seen just how well each of them will do, it’s great to see that the club aren’t resting upon their laurels in the quest to win the Scottish title this term.
However, former Celtic man John Hartson still isn’t content. He’s recently written about his expectations for the month for the Evening Times, and he thinks that more is still needed.
He said: ‘You have got Rangers and others signing players, and I think that Celtic need four or five good additions this month to make sure they don’t end up blowing their chance at making history’.
Whilst Celtic’s current crop of signings are talented, the reality is that they likely aren’t going to be enough. There are still a few gaps within our squad, namely in the defence, and they can’t be left ignored.
Celtic find themselves in a bit of a new position, as for a change, there is actually pressure on the brass to improve, given the challenge that Rangers are offering this term.
So far, it’s been good, but is there a lot of room to improve – we certainly think so, and so does Hartson.
