As Ange Postecoglou continues to try and build a squad capable of putting up a challenge for the league, there is no doubt the upcoming transfer window will be significant not only for the final half of the season, but it will also be important to set the building blocks for the coming season.

Postecoglou certainly hasn’t made the best start to his maiden season at Celtic Park, but it does seem with the 2-1 away win to Aberdeen, and the reactions of the fans, players and  manager, after that victory, this could be a watershed moment for the club.

With less than a week to Celtic’s next crucial away fixture to an in form Motherwell, the tests just keep coming for Ange.

But it’s not just the Celtic boss that is being tested. So is the Celtic board.

Will the board have the nerve to stick by their manager as the season goes on? Journalist Stuart Hodge seems to think so and has also fired a warning to the Celtic board.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT Hodge said, “As long as he gets time and Celtic’s board don’t do another very stupid thing, then Ange Postecoglou will turn Celtic into a really good team and will win the league playing football ‘the Celtic way.”

And we have seen glimpses of the kind of football Postecoglou is hoping to bring to Celtic Park this season and many more players starting to return from injury, could Hodge be onto something or is it too early in the rebuild for Celtic to be realistically challenging for the title this season?
