Celtic have released Slovakian goalkeeper Lubos Kamenar from a season-long loan at Parkhead.

“That’s an area we would like to strengthen to the squad” – Neil Lennon

Kamenar originally arrived on transfer deadline day in August from Nantes as prospective competition to Fraser Forster and Lukasz Zaluska.

But having failed to manage a single appearance ever since, the 25-year-old has now returned to France ahead of schedule.

“Lubos is away,” Celtic boss Neil Lennon confirmed to stv.tv . “So again, that’s an area we would like to strengthen to the squad if we could.”

He also had spells with Sivasspor, Sparta Prague and FC Spartak Trnava prior to joining Celtic.
