Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster believes he can come back from the World Cup as a winner with England.

“We’ll go into each match believing we can win it” – Fraser Forster

The 26-year-old has flown out to Portugal with the rest of the squad in order to
begin preparations for next month’s showpiece tournament in Brazil.

For once the English are travelling with
few expectations from their own national media, although the Hoops shot-stopper insists that is certainly not the prevailing mindset within the group.

“You have to go there and believe you can win every game,” he told the Daily Record. “It’s important you don’t look too far ahead but you can’t have any mindset other than being 100 per cent positive.

“Every team is there on merit and out to win their groups,” Forster added. “Every team will be out to prove something and there will not be an easy game. But we’ll go into each match believing we can win it.”
