Celtic fans have laid into BBC pundit Tam McManus after he described the Hoops’ performance against Rosenborg on Wednesday night as ‘terrible’.
The 0-0 draw in Norway ensured comfortable progression into the next round of UEFA Champions League qualifying, but former Hibs man McManus wasn’t impressed.
Job done for Celtic but they have been terrible tonight. So sloppy. Up against a better side they are in bang in trouble. Rosenborg are an average side too IMO.

While the performance against Rosenborg didn’t exactly set the world on fire, it was a professional job, with the Norwegians rarely looking like threatening the Hoops, aside from one stunning save from Craig Gordon.
It’s a rather predictable jibe and the insinuation Celtic will be in trouble against a better side is unfounded considering we have qualified for the group stages of the competition for the past two years.
Brendan Rodgers’ side will now test themselves against AEK Athens of Greece, who will visit Celtic Park next week.
Many Hoops fans weren’t happy with his comments and let him know exactly what they thought of his analysis, taking to Twitter to reply…
Beggars belief this post….
Destroyed them at home and shut up shop away….
Celtic played a classic 2 leg KO fixture to the letter against excellent opposition who Pumped Ajax home and away less than 12 months ago.

Celtic cruise 3-1 on agg and @the_Tman10 wants to crucify the Scottish champions, it’s easy to see why the English put us down when our own do

Tam it’s obvious your trying to be so controversial it’ll get you step up in the punditry ranks but your falling short, by a country mile. Stop this nonsense, your making a fool out of yourself
