Saturday’s win at Dingwall against Ross County was a good three points against a side that tends to cause us problems every season.

Ross County are dogged, determined, and very well organised.

Very rarely do we get an easy game against them and the weekend was no different.

Not only did we have seasoned campaigners in the starting lineup on Saturday afternoon but we also had debutant Moritz Jenz stepping in for Stephen Welsh, who was taken out the side with illness.

And how did he do considering the opposition he was up against?

That question was asked in a fan Q&A in The Athletic on how the new Bhoy Jenz got on and Devlin said, “A little rash at times and his passing wasn’t great, but looks like he has decent defensive fundamentals.

“Quite similar profile-wise to Starfelt, I feel.”

A bit harsh I feel.

I thought Jenz looked comfortable on the ball and his passing wasn’t actually that bad.

According to Sofascore, Jenz’s passing accuracy was 85% overall, 91% in his own half, and 80% in the oppositions half and he had an overall match day rating of 7.7:

Yeah, questions could be raised at his positioning for the Ross County equaliser, but he more than made up for that with his goal in the 84th minute.

Not a bad debut against a team that is traditionally a banana skin for the Celts.

We now move onto Kilmarnock on Sunday at 12pm.

Another difficult fixture but one where I still expect us to capture all three points.
