Celtic were victorious at Kilmarnock with goals towards the end of each half from James Forrest and Callum McGregor.

Midfielder Tom Rogic was involved in both of them, firstly allowing Forrest to finish from close-range before later setting up McGregor in the final stages.

The Hoops had earlier made six changes and Forrest curled wide of the mark early on; although it wasn’t until late in the opening half that the breakthrough was actually made. Rogic chased inside the area and laid across for Forrest to drill low into the net.

Goalscorer Forrest also went close following the break, collecting from Anthony Ralston and skipping beyond opponents and narrowly clearing the top corner.

Kieran Tierney then struck directly at keeper Jamie MacDonald, who was similarly called upon by youngster Calvin Miller after swapping passes with Forrest.

However, a second goal still arrived for the visitors as Rogic advanced and slipped in McGregor to find the bottom corner with only a couple of minutes remaining.
