Celtic are in early action on Saturday afternoon when taking on Kimarnock at Rugby Park (kick-off 12.30pm).

The Hoops include goalkeeper Scott Bain and defender Jack Hendry within their squad having both joined from Dundee this week.

However, the visitors are still deprived of a number of players with Craig Gordon, Leigh Griffiths, Stuart Armstrong, Marvin Compper, Jonny Hayes, Tom Rogic, Anthony Ralston and Patrick Roberts currently sidelined.

“Jack Hendry is ready to play,” manager Brendan Rodgers told BBC Scotland. “He has played in different systems at Dundee and as a young player he was a right winger, interestingly enough. He is still developing but I would have no hesitation in putting him in.”

Killie must carry out late checks on midfield duo Alan Power and Chris Burke, while newcomers Aaron Tshibola and Aaron Simpson are both named in their squad.
