Kris Boyd. What can I say about his punditry “skills” that haven’t already been said before? As articulate as a 2 year old reading French, I am amazed how this former footballer managed to bag a job with one the top footballing broadcasters in the country.
Not so long ago, Celtic fans were calling for Boyd to be removed from covering Hoops games on Sky Sports as they were fed up of his apparent lack of impartiality when covering any matches the Parkhead team were involved in.
Boyd’s latest gaffe was, fortunately for him, not on live television but on Sky Sports Scottish Football podcast where host, Ian Crocker, co pundit, Andy Walker and Boyd himself were discussing David Turnbull and whether or not he should be granted a place in the Scotland squad ahead of the Euro’s in the summer.
“The big thing that separates him from the majority of players as you’ve touched on again. Scoring goals as a massive massive thing to have in football that’s what wins games, it makes a difference.

“You’ll hear about everybody in terms of what they run, what they cover in terms of distance, and stuff like that but I think something that doesn’t get overlooked from certain people but you’re always quick to look at things and say, ‘oh he works really hard he does this for the team’ what he’s he’s doing, as you can, as ,as you cant buy that.
“Scoring goals is an art, and from long distance. He’s in a rich vein of form right now, and he will be looking for that to continue. If he can push himself into the Scotland squad”
Absolutely brilliant from Boyd, and he is right you know. You can’t buy that, unless you spend £3m……………
