Celtic have received a huge boost ahead of the weekends league fixtures as Rangers announced that Kemar Roofe is out of the upcoming Glasgow Derby.
The striker has been crucial for our city rivals over the last few weeks as he was the only real cover they have for long term injury crock Alfredo Morelos.
Now for those that say he hasn’t really done anything against us in the Glasgow Derby, that is correct, but it is outwith those games that Roofe has kept our rivals in this title race.
Averaging a goal every other game, Roofe’s hattrick against St Mirren immediately after their 2-1 defeat by Celtic at Ibrox gave the Govan club new found belief.
This means that Cedric Itten (three in 21 games) and Fashion Sakala (10 goals in 42) are the only recognised strikers at the club which leaves Giovanni van Bronckhorst with a real headache ahead of a massive month for the club.
