Celtic will not be signing Andy Carroll this summer by the looks of things with Neil Lennon dismissing the rumour – as per the Daily Record.
The big striker was a real force to be reckoned with at the start of the decade with him scoring lots of goals for Newcastle and hammering home strikes from long range.
However, after leaving for Liverpool things haven’t been the same since and he is now a free agent after a release from West Ham.
He’s the definition of injury-prone and is bound to want big wages wherever he ends up so I am more than happy for Lennon to dismiss such talk.
The Daily Record reports that he was asked about the rumour and he simply shook his head in dismissal, as you might expect.
It would be a strange one to say the least, and seems rather likely to be a product of the madness this time of year brings.
