Neil Lennon has told his Celtic successor Ronny Deila to simply bounce straight back from his Champions League disappointment.

“Ronny’s not really had enough time to work out what his best team is yet” – Neil Lennon

The Hoops must make up a three-goal deficit in the second-leg having lost heavily 4-1 at Legia Warsaw in the third qualifying round last night.

“My European adventure wasn’t great to start with either,” Lennon told BBC Scotland. “I remember losing 4-0 in Utrecht and getting knocked out. It’s going to take time, there’s always a transitional period at a club like Celtic.

“Ronny’s not really had enough time to work out what his best team is yet,” he warned. “They’re not out of it by any means but they’ve got a mountain to climb. Celtic at home, I know it’s Murrayfield but still, anything could happen.”
