Celtic manager Neil Lennon felt suitably boosted following the comfortable 3-0 victory against St Johnstone.

“It was a brilliant performance more or less from start to finish” – Neil Lennon

Striker Anthony Stokes scored a hat-trick to help erase the disappointment of the recent Scottish Cup exit to Aberdeen.

It also increased Celtic’s overall advantage at the top of the table back to
a massive 21 points.

“I am very happy. It was a brilliant performance more or less from start to finish which makes last week even more of an aberration,” Lennon told BBC Scotland.”I just wanted to get today out of the way after last week.

“I couldn’t be happier with the reaction I got from the players and I couldn’t be happier with the support we got today,” he added. “They created a great atmosphere. It’s been a very good day.”
