Quoted by the Scottish Sun, Neil Lennon has underlined his determination to keep Olivier Ntcham at the club past the end of this summer’s transfer window.

Whilst the top two tiers in England have gone early and shut up for business, around Europe and in Scotland things remain open for a couple more weeks or so and so incomings and outgoings remain possible.

Of course, we want to see Neil Lennon and Peter Lawwell getting the chequebook out and signing some players before the window shuts but we ideally also want to see the squad largely kept together too.

That in mind, then, it’s perhaps no surprise with just two weeks or so in the window left in this country, that Lennon now doesn’t want to see Ntcham going anywhere this month.

He said:

“I want him here, I don’t want him to go.

“Obviously for a while, he was thinking maybe his future lay elsewhere, but we’ve tried to reiterate to him that we want him here and we want his future to be here.”

There has been some speculation over him this summer but at the moment it looks as though he will be staying put.
