Celtic manager Neil Lennon expects their forthcoming trip to Benfica to be their toughest match of the group.

“If we can get through midweek with a draw or a win that would be marvellous” – Neil Lennon

The Hoops are currently in second place behind Barcelona in Group G after seven points from their opening four games, including a famous triumph against the Catalans last time out.

That is already three more than their latest opponents, who they can take right out of the equation and ensure their own qualification with another victory.

“This game will be the toughest of our group, they will be very motivated to beat us,” Lennon told BBC Scotland. “We’re going to come up against a very motivated team at home, who are very impressive at home and who are going very well domestically. If we can get through midweek with a draw or a win that would be marvellous.”
