According to Football Insider, Neil Lennon and the coaching staff have been ‘blown away’ by Jonathan Afolabi in training and they could look to fast-track him into the first team.
The player was previously at Southampton and clearly has pedigree with Celtic looking to give him a chance.
Indeed, that chance could well pay off for both parties with the report suggesting that the player has done very well in training and he could now get a chance in the first-team – though it remains to be seen in what competition.
We’ve got good players in his area of the pitch and so it won’t be a case of him just walking into the side but you have to consider that Neil Lennon is more than raring to give youngsters the chance to feature.
Karamoko Dembele is one man that has benefitted from that already and perhaps it could be Afolabi that is next.
