Lennon hints at presence of exciting talent for next season

|

Quoted by the Scottish Sun, Celtic manager Neil Lennon has suggested that Karamoko Dembele could feature more next season for the senior side.

The kid has been of great interest to us as fans for a few years now since breaking through as a boy basically and mixing it with older lads.

He’s featured on the international stage at several youth tiers and has also played for our first-team now, looking the business and looking confident.

He seems a real talent, then, and it appears that Lennon is open to him playing more next season after we saw him feature against the likes of Hearts towards the end of the last campaign.

He said:

“We have to be very mindful of his age and his development. But sometimes you don’t want to curtail talent either.

“Wayne Rooney was one who made his debut at 16 too. I’m not saying Karamoko is going to be as good as him. They are different types.

“But he’s a very talented player and one that I think should be mixing with the first team now.”

This is certainly exciting for the player. He’s a fresh-faced footballer but he doesn’t seemed overawed by anything.

He’s certainly one I’d like to see more of for the Hoops in the coming years and it seems safe to assume that next season we are going to get exactly that.
