Celtic manager Neil Lennon was keeping his cards firmly to his chest ahead of the Champions League visit to Benfica on Tuesday evening.

“Two out of three will definitely be fit” – Neil Lennon

However, Lennon did reveal that only two from skipper Scott Brown (hip), midfielder Joe Ledley (groin) and leading goalscorer Gary Hooper (hamstring) are definitely in the mix to start. But Georgios Samaras and Kris Commons, along with Venezuelan forward Miku, are confirmed as in the squad.

“Two out of three will definitely be fit,” Lennon told BBC Scotland. “I have a worry over one of them. We will assess him until as late as possible to give him every chance to pass himself fit. If he is not fit to start then we would hope to have him at least on the subs bench.”

Elsewhere, defenders Emilio Izaguirre (hamstring) and Thomas Rogne (calf), plus winger James Forrest (hamstring), remain in the sidelines.

The Hoops approach the contest with two wins from their opening four games and knowing that a third against their Portuguese hosts would guarantee their safe passage into the final sixteen of the competition.
