Lennon offers promising transfer insight for final weeks of window

|

Quoted by BBC Radio Scotland – via the Sunday Post – Neil Lennon has suggested that he hopes to see the money from the Kieran Tierney exit reinvested in the playing squad.

KT to Arsenal is worth £25m to the club and that kind of money is certainly a level that could see us sign some very decent footballers to boost the squad.

We’ve needed arrivals all summer and though some have arrived, we still need more.

This is going to give us a cash boost, then, and now Peter Lawwell needs to get the chequebook out and make it rain in the final few weeks of the window.

Lennon was asked whether the cash would be reinvested into the squad after the draw with Cluj on Wednesday night, and he said:

“I hope so. There are a few areas that I’d like to improve in.”

Now, then, it’s time to get some big deals done in order to try and soften the blow of losing one of our best players in recent years.
