Neil Lennon was left reflecting on Celtic’s lack of quality in the final third following their European exit.

“Tonight has been symptomatic of our campaign. We’ve missed good chances” – Neil Lennon

A 3-0 home defeat to AC Milan means his side are certain to finish bottom of their group and not even in with a chance of qualifying for the Europa League.

“We’ve competed again tonight but just that quality at the top end of the pitch has caught up with us,” Lennon told BBC Scotland. “Some of the players have covered themselves in glory but it’s mainly in the defensive end of the pitch that we’re talking about here.

“Tonight has been symptomatic of our campaign. We’ve missed good chances,” he added. “Then we go and concede again from a corner and that’s been the most disappointing aspect, as has the opportunities we missed.”
