Celtic manager Neil Lennon is ready for new talks concerning midfielder Victor Wanyama in a bid to extend his stay at Parkhead.

The Kenyan’s advisors have already rejected the Hoops’ initial approaches of an improved contract for the £25m rated international.
However, Lennon now plans personal discussions at some stage with his agent Rob Moore in an effort to finally reach a conclusion and avoid losing one of his most prized assets.
“We can always re-open negotiations with Rob on Victor’s situation,” Lennon told the Daily Record. “He has another two years on his contract so we have time on our side.
“Obviously, the longer we leave it, the more vulnerable we become or the more he is an attractive proposition for a bigger club,” he added. “That scenario will be a reality later on down the line. In the meantime, we will be plugging away as he has never intimated to me that he wants to leave.”
