Lennon update suggests defence is going to be finally given depth with developments

|

Quoted by the Evening Express, Celtic manager Neil Lennon has suggested that a couple of defensive recruits are going to be on the way in before too long.

The Bhoys have had a quiet window so far this summer but there is still time for that to change and hopefully the Hoops are going to be able to bring in some decent players.

The men from Celtic Park certainly need to add to their defence after a number of players in that area left earlier on in the off-season and Neil Lennon has suggested that two right-backs are on the way.

Indeed, after talking about the cancellation of Danny Simpson’s trial, he revealed:

“On Danny, we were down the line with Hatem and one or two other options so we just felt it would be futile to bring Danny in if he sees us bringing in other players in his specialised position.”

Hatem Abd Elhamed is set to be one of the right-backs to come in but it remains to be seen who the other one is going to be and that is exciting.

At last, we’re addressing one of the weakest areas in the side at the moment.
