We’re well aware of what a special manager we’ve got in charge of our club and it looks as though Patrick Roberts has underlined that feeling.

The winger has been superb for us in the two and a bit years he’s been here but it looks as though he is off to pastures new for 2018/19.

Injuries have hampered him a bit this season, of course, but he’s still been a good player for us and it’s clear that that is partly down to the work our boss has done with him:

The Verdict

We always thought we were getting a manager capable of bringing on young players and it’s evident we were right about that.

We’ve managed to get the best from the likes of Roberts as well as more senior players and all we can hope is that Brendan will keep producing the goods.

Certainly, I have no reason to see why he won’t.
