An article by Keith Jackson in The Daily Record claims that Brendan Rodgers is set to raid his old club Celtic and offer a Scottish transfer record of £30m for star striker Odsonne Edouard.
However, it is rumoured that Rodgers is prepared to wait until the summer to get his man as he looks to increase the firepower he has at his disposal at the Midlands club with Jamie Vardy being the only reliable goalscorer under his charge.
The former Parkhead gaffer is skating on thin ice as it is because of the manner of his departure last year and with rumours of him previously trying to lure Callum McGregor away in the summer, he is doing little to regain the support of the Hoops faithful.

Edouard is going to be on several Premier League club’s radars because of the ability he has to play up front on his own, run behind defences and bring others into play, the Celtic board invested heavily in the young Frenchman but it will be proven to be money well spent given the figures that are being banded about to secure his signature now.
