Jos Hooiveld may has disappeared off to Copenhagen but that hasn’t stopped him from coming under the microscope of Vital Celtic’s loan scout afcbliamk ….

Name: Jos Hooiveld
DOB: 22/4/1983
Nationality: Zeijen, Holland
Height: 6ft 4in (193cm)
Weight: 11st 11lb (75kg)
Position: Defender

Jos is a left footed centre half, who is strong in the air, and has a wonderful personality and great banter off the pitch. In the January transfer window it was announced that Jos would be moving to Danish outfit FC Copenhagen for the remainder of the 2010/2011 campaign.

Jos Hoovield wears the number 24 shirt for Copenhagen and joined them during the winter break so there have been no games upon his immediate arrival. Jos described the defensive crisis that followed at Celtic as ‘typical’, he then continued ‘that they should all be injured as I leave, but life goes on I’m happy on loan here and I watch every Celtic game in an Irish Rovers bar here, hopefully at the end of the season I can celebrate an SPL and Denmark title.’ Hooiveld also claimed he had a strong bond with Celtic and despite being unsure of his future he would love to return to Celtic Park.

He was hoping to be handed his debut in the Champions League encounter with Chelsea but it wasn’t to be and he is yet to make an appearance. Copenhagen are a very strong team performing well domestically and Jos said he respected the manager’s decision, reasoning the gaffer’s selection quoting that the 2 centre backs who played ahead of him had been key to Copenhagen’s success all season.
