Celtic Word On The Tweet

‘Make it happen’ – Many Celtic fans have already picked out the man they want to replace Rodgers

|

Loads of Celtic fans would like to see the club make an ambitious move for RB Salzburg boss Marco Rose to permanently replace Brendan Rodgers.

Neil Lennon has taken charge of the club until the end of the season, but many supporters are already taking a long-term view of the situation and feel the club can bring in a more inspiring character to continue the incredible success that Rodgers brought to the club.

A lot of that will depend on how Lennon does in the tail-end of this campaign, but there’s no doubt in supporters’ eyes that he should not be the default choice to permanently become boss at Celtic Park.

Many names have been mentioned in relation to the job – Steve Clarke and Jack Ross are two Scottish names suggested by some – but Marco Rose has emerged as the dream appointment.

Delivering league success to Salzburg last season, the innovative manager also brought the Austrians to the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League last season and currently the last 16 of the competition this season on a lower budget than Celtic.

They of course have also beaten Celtic twice this term.

The question is though – his is stock already so high in European football that he is beyond the reach of the Hoops?
