As Celtic continue to build on their away form with another victory on the road, many felt that this would be a key area that could be critical in the destination of the title this season.

As it stands, six points from six in their last two away fixtures at Aberdeen and Motherwell, Postecoglou seems to have found that winning touch away from Paradise and this will only stand him in good stead as the team starts to build momentum leading up to the next transfer window.

And that is something that the Hoops must get right according to journalist Mark Guidi.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Guidi says that there is one major obstacle that will determine whether or not Celtic have the potential to become champions this season, “But I still think that an area that Celtic need to be looking at is the middle of the park.

“The engine room.

“You might want to release Callum McGregor up one again to give that option.

“So the engine room. Defensively, depending on what happens of Julien comes back, and potentially another centre forward if Postecoglou doesn’t think that Ajeti is up for it or if  Giakoumakis is maybe struggling a wee bit.

“So there is a couple of ifs and buts, but it will need to be addressed if Celtic want to go on and win the league.

“I don’t think they can win the league with the current squad, but with a couple of really good additions Celtic have got the potential to become champions in May.”

Celtic fans will be feeling the same as Guidi.

A couple of shrewd signings in the January window does have the potential of ensuring whether or not Celtic will get their hands on that £40m Champions League bounty next season.
