The fallout continues and the rumours gather pace. No longer than three days into Dom McKay leaving his post as the Chief Executive of Celtic, do we have yet another rumour being given credence by sports journalist Mark Guidi.

Guidi claims that there could be further boardroom upheaval as he seemed to predict that current Chairman of the club, Ian Bankier, may be the next one out the door at Celtic Park.

The journalist was speaking on Go Radio when he predicted that there may be more casualties ahead for the Parkhead suits and he also cleared up who the person was that found current Celtic gaffer Ange Postecoglou, “Ian Bankier could be a change of chairman has been the suggestion.

“Does Michael Nicholson want the job full time? He got a glowing report from Ian Bankier on Friday night from the statement.

“But does he want to because it’s a hell of a step up and there’s only a few cut out to carry out a job like that.

“And to go back to the point in that Ange Postecoglou made in his interview about the narrative of Dom McKay. I have always said on the show that Ange Postecoglou was presented to Dom McKay as an option.

“Dom McKay didn’t source Ange Postecoglou. So we know that that’s true.

“So when it was suggested at the time that it was Dom McKay’s, it was an option that was presented to him and obviously that option became real when Eddie Howe decided not to pursue the offer of the job.”

It seems that there is trouble in the Paradise boardroom just as the team was getting settled in the park. And that change may well be a good thing.

It seems that from the noises coming from journalists and Celtic fan media, there are far too many people comfortable in the Celtic Park boardroom and a power shift may be required to help freshen the place up.
