Every Celtic fan watched on and prayed that it wasn’t serious.

The minute that Kyogo pulled up holding the back of his leg was the minute all Hoops supporters were dreading.

With Celtic’s injury crisis now thrown deep into a full blown nuclear meltdown, the one man the fans didn’t want to see go down was out Japanese striker.

We can all see the effect on the team when he wasn’t available earlier in the season and it wasn’t good.

But I suppose there is one shining light to take away from last nights game. All of Celtic’s goals were scored when Kyogo wasn’t on the park.

Yeah I know. You can see me reaching for the straws there can’t you?

As supporters and reporters were desperate for an update on the Hoops talisman, a reporter at last nights post match press conference took his opportunity to ask for an update on Kyogo and in true Ange style, the Celtic gaffer retorted, “Mate I’m nowhere near to having a doctor’s degree, nowhere near to having a, you know, knowing what a scan looks like.

“Mate, give me a chance. They’ve just walked off the field and we’ll wee.

“We’ll assess once I get some information.”

And I guess that answer just sums up Postecoglou’s frustration at the recent spate of bad luck with injuries the Celtic boss has had.

With no new update as of yet, the fans will be praying for that the damage isn’t as bad as it first looked.
