Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has been called into the Scotland squad following his weekend brace against Hibernian.

That’s ahead of their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Slovakia and Slovenia.

The 24-year-old has been in sparkling form for his club with already six goals in fifteen appearances this season.

Team-mates Craig Gordon, James Forrest, Leigh Griffiths and Kieran Tierney are similarly in the squad, although Scott Brown [hamstring] and Stuart Armstrong [calf] have both been forced out through injury.
