Celtic have moved eight points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership after a 1-0 win against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park this evening.

With the Ibrox side drawing against St Johnstone on Saturday, today was a great opportunity to clench a fist around the league trophy with 12 games remaining and Brendan Rodgers’ side got the job done thanks to a last minute goal from Scott Brown.

Steve Clarke’s side had held firm up to that point in the face of a huge amount of Celtic possession, with the Hoops camped out on the edge of their box for the majority of the 90 minutes.

The points are all that matter to most at the end of the day, but for some the performance of the players was not all there.

Jeremy Toljan got plenty of criticism throughout the 90 minutes having struggled to make an impact on the right flank. It had many even hoping to see a return of Mikael Lustig or Cristian Gamboa.

After initial good displays, it seems he still has plenty to prove to critical supporters.
