Celtic have made some offensive signings this month but what we need the club to do now is add to the squad in the defensive areas.
At centre-half and at right-back, in particular, we need new players and it’s going to be key to this season and the coming years that we get those calls right.
With that said, then, it might come as some disappointment that the Daily Mail is reporting that we are giving up in the chase for Scott McKenna right now.
The powerful defender is one of the better centre-halves in the league and has plenty of room to improve with him in his early 20s.
Certainly, he seemed the ideal player to come in and take over from Dedryck Boyata but it seems as though we’ve left the chase for now at least.
